Our Craft

Where fire becomes light

Copperwood pieces are made through a hands-on process that respects the material. Copper is heated, shaped, hammered, finished, inspected, and prepared for real interiors.

The process begins with copper sheet or formed copper components selected for the product type. The material is worked by skilled hands to create shape, surface, and proportion. Heat helps make the copper workable. Hammering creates texture. Finishing brings out the final tone, warmth, and character.

No two handmade copper pieces are exactly the same. Small variations in hammer marks, patina, tone, and surface movement are part of the product, not defects. They are the visible proof that the piece was made by hand.

Our workshop documents materials, finishes, and production details so customers can understand what they are buying before they order. This is especially important for made-to-order pendant lights, verdigris finishes, matching sets, and project-based work.

Copperwood has participated in 7 international design and craft exhibitions, bringing Moroccan copper work to global buyers and interior projects.

Process Steps

1. Material selection - copper is selected according to the product shape, size, and finish direction.

2. Heating and shaping - the copper is worked through heat and hand forming to create the base shape.

3. Hammering and texture - the surface is hammered or refined depending on the design.

4. Finishing and patina - natural copper, aged copper, or verdigris finishes are applied according to the order.

5. Inspection - each piece is checked for shape, finish, practical use, and packing readiness.

6. Packing - the item is protected carefully for international transport.
